SOCIAL ACTIVITIES 1997
The full and varied social calendar of the Sudbury Power Squadron provides a great deal of enjoyment for members and guests. As event plans are finalized details will be posted here.
- Toronto Boat Show
- Every year in January the Sudbury Squadron organizes a bus trip to the Toronto Boat Show. This is a fun weekend and that allows your to pickup those much needed toys for the coming season.
- Wine and Cheese
- Feb 20, 1997 7:00 PM at Copper Cliff Club in Copper Cliff
Guest speaker is Larry Banbury who will be talking about his recent trip from the Caribbean to Little Current. Contact any member of the bridge for tickets, $35.00 per couple.
- Annual General Meeting and Spring Launch Party
- April 17, 1997 at Lockerby Legion. This function is held every year in April. This is a meeting where all members are encouraged to attend. Volunteers in the Squadron are recognized through the awarding of merit marks.
- Graduation
- The Graduation dinner is held in May every year to present the new graduates with their certificates and CPS flags.
- Rendezvous
- A gathering held early in July where everyone can enjoy the camaraderie of fellow boaters at a location somewhere in the North Channel.
- Course Registration
- It is formally held the first week in September, but you may contact the Training Officer in mid-August to register for the upcoming courses.
- Haul Out Party
- In November new students join other members at the Lockerby Legion for a
fun evening of socializing, knot tying and rope throwing demonstrations and other displays.
